Well, we thought it might never get here -- but today, on June 10, 2007 -- SUMMER has arrived! It's 7:37 pm and the outdoor thermometer is registering 80 degrees F -- admittedly, too hot for my personal comfort, but after a chilly, damp and mostly overcast spring, this is truly a welcomed event :)! To celebrate, I drove out to Eklutna Historical Park and also to Peters Creek recreational park and took a bunch of photos. Since I just got back a little bit ago, I haven't had a chance to edit them yet, but here are some photos I took last night when Rog and I drove up to Eklutna Lake... Rog, trying to coax Cully into the streeam -- she actually did go in, which surprised us -- and got so muddy and sandy by the time we were ready to go that I gave her a bath as soon as we got home, which was close to 11:00 pm.The last pic is one Rog took of Cully and me just before we left the area.
